We propose you here to engage with a beautiful mountain road tucked between the sea and coastal lagoons till we reach the top of Bach Ma National Park, where we will enjoy nice trekking before our drive over the imposing Lang Co bay and the Hai Van pass. We will arrive at our destination in the late afternoon with the feeling of having traveled and not just commuted.

DAY 1 THE SPECTACULAR BACH MA NATIONAL PARK BETWEEN HUE & HOI AN

Our guide will pick us up at our hotel to leave Hue and hit the road. Our day will be divided in three parts, each of them immersing us in a complete different atmosphere. Thanks to the combination of these three different stages together, our day will turn into a memorable travel experience.
The first part will be the road between Hue and Bach Ma; a very nice countryside lane built on a strip of land between the sea and some of the largest coastal lagoons in the country. Pine tree forests, sandy dunes, traditional fishing systems, herds of cows, kids on bicycles… Definitely, a dive into the typical countryside in Central Vietnam, its rural and charming atmosphere.
The next stage of our trip today will be the exploration of the beautiful Bach Ma National Park. At the entry of the park we will hop on the rangers’ vehicle so that they can drive us 19km father to our trekking point. Time to enjoy the breathtaking sceneries while we will be driven up; there will be of course opportunities to stop either now or later, on the way down.
We will get off from the van and take our first steps along a trail which will bring us to Rhododendron waterfall, continuing later to the Five Lakes Cascade trail through the evergreen forest (6km in total). If the weather permits, we will also be able to enjoy a nice picnic lunch by one of the Cascade’s crystal-clear pools.
During the last part of the journey we will be driving between Bach Ma and Hoi An, crossing Lang Co bay and then ascending the beautiful and imposing Hai Van pass. We will indulge ourselves with several stops to take pictures and to simply enjoy such magnificent views.
The trip will end at our address in Hoi An around 17:00.

The trekking in Bach Ma National park is at moderate level (suitable for most hikers and generally involving some trekking at moderate altitude, on fairly difficult terrain).

For your safety, the trip is closed in December to avoid risks of flood and torrential rain.
